The following are some of the success stories.

  • Urgent car repairs made possible

    A family who live out of town and need a car for transport to work and school and for attending a university training course needed urgent repairs to keep their second hand vehicle on the road. The donation went towards these costs and means they can continue with their commitments and keep up with their day to day expenses.

  • Car seats improve safety and mobility.

    This lady was absolutely knocked out by the support she received. She managed to
    get the car chairs that the boys are now using. The little one can now see
    everything going on and mum can see him from the front. She is happy to
    take the boys out more in the car knowing they are secure and safe.

  • A second hand fridge.

    The money from Acts 435 has been received with great gratitude as the applicant has been able to purchase a second hand fridge she had reserved.

  • Transport costs for son in hospital

    Thanks to the generosity of Acts 435 donors, the money was provided for bus and train fares needed to visit son in hospital with cancer, from Hull to Leeds.

  • New mattress helps relieve chronic bad back

    The applicant is very grateful for the provision of a new mattress to help relieve chronic back pain.

  • Single mother helped with household bills

    Financial help from Acts 435 came at a perfect moment to avoid having to borrow more money from high-interest lenders. As a single mother of six children the applicant had encountered a problem with her benefits payments, part of which had been delayed by three months. This left her juggling bills and getting behind with everything. She has been assured the money will be made up but given no time-frame so Acts 435 donors have helped her meet this difficult challenge and take some of the stress and financial pressure off her.

  • Boiler Repair

    The money to sort out the boiler was a great boost to the family and meant that they could go ahead with their plans to tile their wheelchair accessible shower - something that they thought they were going to have to put on hold when the boiler went wrong - a huge thanks for the generosity of Acts 435 donors.

  • Washing machine facilitates time with kids

    Through the generosity of donors to Acts 435 a man of 39, who was a single parent and hoping to gain access to his children, was able to obtain a reconditioned washer. He now has his children to stay over some weekends and is very grateful for the washer as he can now get any washing done for them when they come as well as his own.

  • Replacement cooker brings joy

    A single mother had a cooker which broke down and was unrepairable. Through Acts 435, she received a reconditioned cooker so she can now cook again for her children. She was highly delighted. She has had many struggles and this was something that showed her that Christians care about her and her family.

  • Money for widow to support her out-of-work son.

    Wendy was very pleased to receive the money to support her out-of-work son. The extra washing and cooking she is doing has pushed up her bills. This is the first time her son has been out of work and it has shaken his confidence. Wendy is helping him to keep him positive in his search for work.
